The Magazine

Kwentong Negosyo (Talk Business) is a magazine for micro-entrepreneurs, existing and would-be. The magazine is committed to be a platform to profile microentrepreneurs, microbusinesses and microfinance and development institutions in the Philippines who are role models of success. Kwentong Negosyo is designed to provide the venue for entrepreneurs to interact, share learning experiences and successes that will inspire the transformation of micro-enterprises into small- and medium-scale enterprises with employment-generating opportunities and improved capacities for increased productivity and efficiency.

Kwentong Negosyo is dedicated to the research and dissemination of practical knowledge and business tools that can further strengthen entrepreneurial capacities among Filipinos.

It goes by the tagline, Basahin, Pag-usapan at Palaguin ang Maliit na Negosyo, (Read, Discuss and Grow your Micro Enterprise) which expresses the advocacy of the magazine to transform the attitude of most microentrepreneurs from being content with small and limited gains to being growth-oriented. The first issue of Kwentong Negosyo was released in April/May 2007. It is primarily directed at Filipino microentrepreneurs who have access to financial services from local microfinance institutions.

A non-stock, not-for-profit development institution, MEDIA, Inc. believes in the power of knowledge to boost confidence to start, grow and transform an idea into a profitable and sustainable business.


Our Mission

MEDIA, Inc.’s mission is to promote the growth of a vibrant community of local enterprises that are commercially viable, environmentally sustainable and socially responsible through knowledge management using Kwentong Negosyo initially and additional publications and programs in the future.
